Critical sites are defined by having more fence than staff. IREX turns the cameras already on that fence into continuous monitoring, without replacing the hardware that is already installed.
In Production
IREX protects electrical power stations, oil terminals and pipelines, gas distribution facilities, and other critical infrastructure and logistics sites across multiple countries, including UK critical infrastructure perimeter security. These deployments rely on perimeter intrusion detection, fire and smoke detection, and continuous monitoring of restricted zones.
The commercial argument is specific to this vertical: because the platform integrates with existing camera networks and sensor systems, it is a cost-effective upgrade path for facilities that need AI analytics without replacing current hardware. Many of these sites have substantial camera investment and no appetite to write it off.
Sovereignty tends to matter more here than anywhere except national government. On-premises or fully air-gapped deployment with no runtime internet dependency is available, and the infrastructure stack is open source and inspectable end to end.

You say which ground should have nothing on it, and anything that enters is the event. It works the same way on a tank farm, a switchyard or a pipeline right of way as it does on open ground.
A lens fogged, sprayed, knocked out of focus or turned away raises an alert like any other event. On a perimeter measured in kilometers that is not housekeeping: an unnoticed blind camera is an unmonitored kilometer.
The launch is the part a fixed camera can see, and it happens outside the fence — an operator on the ground with a controller, before anything is in the air. Detection of the aircraft itself at the perimeter is a separate capability that relies on supplemental sensors rather than on the camera estate.
Remote Sites
Most of the estate this vertical covers sits a long way from the control room and a long way from good bandwidth. Five things make that workable.
An edge server runs the analytics at the site and sends events rather than raw video, which lowers the channel requirement and steadies performance. It keeps recording when the link drops and synchronizes events automatically once it returns, which is what an unstaffed gatehouse or a pipeline right of way actually needs.
Compare Deployment Models →A yard that carries legitimate traffic at two in the afternoon is an alarm at two in the morning, on the same camera and the same rule. Watch windows follow the shift pattern by day of the week and by date, and an operator overriding one for an evening does not switch the schedule off.
“A van has been sitting on the approach road for twenty minutes” becomes an event rather than something a patrol notices later. You say where vehicles may not stand and how long counts as standing, and it applies on the access road and inside the fence alike.
License Plate Recognition →An intrusion event can turn on lights and sirens, and a face match can open a door, because any alarm can be pushed with its frames to any system reachable over HTTP. Sigur is documented as an access-control integration and Netping as an external device; anything else is a scoping conversation rather than a shipped driver.
Where no module covers the condition, an operator describes it in plain language instead. A person lying on the ground is the documented example. It is a signal for somebody to verify, never a medical judgment, and it is available in beta on selected instances.

No. IREX products are expressly not life-saving or emergency systems and IREX does not warrant that they will prevent loss, damage or injury. Vision-based fire and smoke detection is an early-warning layer alongside a certified system.
Often not. Any camera that supports ONVIF or streams RTSP with H.264 or H.265 on a static IP can be connected. Placement matters more than specification for perimeter work, which is what the site survey checks. Note that the perimeter modules run on fixed cameras: PTZ cameras are supported on the platform and driven manually by an operator, but the intrusion detectors themselves are not configured on a moving camera.

You do. Customers retain 100% ownership and control of their data, and IREX neither owns nor accesses customer video, events, logs, watchlists, or floor plans. On-premises deployment is the data-residency mechanism.
With a pilot: one site, three to five use cases, six to twelve weeks, and two or three measurable success criteria agreed in writing before it begins. Accuracy is benchmarked on your own cameras, and the measured numbers go into the contract.
