Beyond the Map: IREX Rolls Out Detailed Object Tracking on Floor Plans

Updates
[MURRIETA, CA - MAY, 27] IREX, a global leader in Ethical AI based in the US, has released an update to its object tracking engine in version 4.35. In addition to tracking people and vehicles on the platform's scalable global map, the engine now supports real-time object tracking on detailed floor plans. Now, once an object enters a building, operators can switch from a map to a specific floor plan and see their detailed route inside that building.
While the term "floor plan" typically refers to internal layouts, the IREX Platform applies it as a detailed spatial overlay onto a street map. This makes the feature equally valuable for granular outdoor tracking across large sites like airports, university campuses or parks. It also serves as the base layer in IREX Multi-Camera Traffic Analytics for positioning cameras and tracking vehicles at intersections and junctions. Combined with existing features such as face recognition and AI search through massive volumes of video data, floor plan tracking provides a new layer of situational awareness, successfully bridging the gap between macro-level city surveillance and micro-level site security, whether indoors or out.

Tracking Routes on Floor Plans for Rapid Incident Management

From any starting point (events, persons/vehicles lists and alarm monitors), operators can instantly select an object of interest and click “Build a route.” The system maps its path for the chosen time frame, showing travel direction, camera locations, and first/last events.
The “Buildings Found” panel lists all unique floor plans in the route, grouped by building for easy navigation. With one click, operators can search and select a floor plan to switch to the interior view, overlaying the route directly on the map, while maintaining the main workflow.
This update gives security teams a clear picture of movements inside buildings, simplifies incident reconstruction and accelerates response by eliminating the need for manual data assembly, resulting in faster and more focused incident management.
We continuously strive to improve our system. Last month, our team proudly introduced the Improved Cycling Safety and Violation Monitoring feature, along with the updated Fire and Smoke Detection Module.
