VP / Head of Public Sector (SLED + Federal)

About the Role

IREX.ai is seeking a VP / Head of Public Sector to lead and scale our public sector business across State, Local, Education (SLED), and Federal markets in the United States.
This is a senior executive role with direct reporting to the CEO, responsible for owning public-sector growth end to end: strategy, pipeline, capture, partnerships, and execution. The role exists to turn IREX from a successful solution provider into a trusted, repeatable public-sector partner with durable revenue and long-term impact.

Why IREX

IREX helps public agencies move from fragmented security tools to real-time, actionable situational awareness, using existing infrastructure such as cameras, access control systems, intercoms, and other IoT assets.
Our platform supports public safety, transportation, and critical infrastructure operations, enabling faster, better-informed responses to everyday incidents and major events alike. We operate with a safety-first and ethics-first mindset, building technology that agencies can deploy responsibly, transparently, and defensibly.

Partner & Channel Strategy

  • Build and manage strategic relationships with system integrators, primes, security integrators, OEMs, and technology partners.

  • Work cross-functionally to mature IREX’s compliance posture around security, privacy, and data governance.
  • Develop a pragmatic federal expansion roadmap aligned with company resources and timing.

Customer Trust & Expansion

  • Build executive-level relationships that support renewals, expansions, and multi-site deployments.
  • Ensure customer feedback informs product and roadmap decisions in a structured, outcome-driven way.
  • Champion responsible and ethical deployment, helping agencies align technology use with policy and community expectations.

Who You Are

  • A senior public-sector growth leader with 10+ years of experience in SLED and/or Federal roles (BD, capture, sales leadership, or GM).
  • Proven track record of winning complex, long-cycle public-sector deals.
  • Strong working knowledge of US procurement processes, including SLED norms, FAR basics, evaluation criteria, and debriefs.
