Alexandria, VA - April, 1 2021 - IREX releases today the world’s first Progressive Web App (PWA) for cloud video surveillance and artificial intelligence. The PWA features scalable maps, floor plans, video player, SearchVeillance™, alarm monitors and more.
The new IREX app can be installed in a few seconds directly from the IREX Secure Cloud. The users don’t have to visit app stores and wait for download. This is particularly important for IREX deployments in private networks. Publishing the PWA to digital distribution systems like Apple App Store or Google Play is optional.
“The same PWA code runs any device. This is the most cost effective approach to deliver the best user experience in multi-organization environments we operate. Also, the PWA can be re-branded in one click without going through the store publishing process,” - says Nik Ptitsyn, Co-founder and CTO of IREX.
Currently, the IREX PWA is in a beta stage and has certain limitations in video playback on the iOS platform as well as push notifications.
